The funeral for Donna Mae Ransom, 82, of Wakita, will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2009, at Wakita Christian Church. The Revs. Jeff Enabnit and Bobby Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Wakita Cemetery. Arrange-ments are by Hills-Ely Funeral Home, Medford.
She was born July 8, 1927, in Anthony, Kan., to Ralph L. and Fern L. Coates Horning and died Sunday, Nov. 15, 2009, at Community Health Center, Wakita.
She was a 1945 graduate of Wakita High School.
She married Billy Ray “Bill” Ransom June 7, 1946, in Anthony, Kan. She was a homemaker and helped on the farm.
She attended Wakita Christian Church from an early age.
Surviving are four sons, Don Ransom of Enid, Gerry Ransom of Tulsa, Rod Ransom of Ringwood and Roger “Curly” Ransom of Imperial, Mo.; one brother, C.B. “Butch” Horning of Medford; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill, and one granddaughter.
