Enid, OK — The funeral for Leona “Lonnie” McComb, 91, of Kingman, Kan., will be 1 p.m. today, Nov. 14, 2009, at Petersen Funeral Home Chapel, Newton, Kan. Burial will be in Restlawn Gardens of Memory, rural Newton.
She was born Feb. 6, 1918, in Fairview to Henry and Justina Martens Cornel-sen and died Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2009, at Wheat-land’s Health Care Center, Kingman.
She married Joseph N. McComb Jan. 13, 1945, in Newton. He died April 6, 1986.
She was a homemaker and retired cook for Murdock schools.
Surviving are one son, Richard A. McComb of Mayflower, Ark.; three dau-ghters, Carolyn J. Thimesch of Valley Center, Kan., Lou Ann Zerger of Flagstaff, Ariz., and Jessica E. Henning of Kingman; eight grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Joseph, she was preceded in death by one son and nine brothers and sisters.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Wheatland Home.
