The funeral for Ruth Sheil, 65, of Valley View, Texas, formerly of Enid, will be 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6, 2009, at Carroll and Son Funeral Home, Gainesville, Texas. The Rev. Don Yeager will officiate. Burial will be in Gainesville Cemetery.
She was born Aug. 19, 1944, in Watonga to Byron and Freeda Hargrove Duggan and died Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2009, at North Texas Medical Center, Gainesville.
She was a 1962 graduate of Enid High School.
She married James Sheil in 1971 in Enid. She attended St. Luke’s United Methodist Church. She served in the Air Force from 1963 to 1965.
Surviving are her husband, James, of Valley View; three sons, James Sheil of Moore and Eric Sheil and Alan Sheil, both of Valley View; one daughter, LeAnn Rogers of Fort Worth, Texas; her mother, Freeda Clark of Enid; one brother, Robert Clark of Enid; one sister, Beverly Kehnemund of Enid; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter and one brother.
