Enid, OK — The funeral for Donald B. Evans, 80, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2009, at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Jim Edmison will officiate. Cremation arrangements are by Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
He was born Sept. 21, 1929, in Shidler to Leonard and Sylvia Shepard Evans and died Saturday, Oct. 31, 2009, at Integris Bass Baptist Health Center.
He worked 34 years for Luckinbill’s. He was owner and mechanic for No. 57 stock car for many years.
He married Thelma Ward Feb. 1, 1949, in Newkirk.
Surviving are his wife, Thelma; his children, Sue Neal, Barbara Struck and Gary Evans; two sisters, Gladys Henry-McGann and Gracie Roberts; one brother, Leon Evans; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son.
