Enid, OK — The funeral for Archie W. Gibson, 85, will be 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 2, 2009, at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Matthew Yoder will officiate. Arrangements are by Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
He was born April 13, 1924, in Van Zandt County, Texas, to Arch W. and Ruby Simpson Gibson and died Friday, Oct. 30, 2009, at his home.
He served in the Army during World War II and Korea. He was an oil field truck driver for Pinkerton Security Co.
He married Beulah Zane Hackney Jan. 9, 1976, in Lahoma. She died June 22, 2002.
Surviving are his children, Becky Hatch, Roger Gibson, Marie Wheeler, JaNet Rowe, Jenial Gracy, Sharon Earhart, Rosalie Henneke and Dottie Tynal; 30 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two wives, two sons, five brothers, two sisters and one great-grandchild.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to House of Prayer Food Bank or First Baptist Church of Lahoma building fund.
