Enid, OK — The memorial service for Susan Ann Collins, 75, of Lamont, will be 2 p.m. Monday, June 29, 2009, at Wilson Funeral Home, Pond Creek. The Rev. Bob Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Lamont Cemetery.
She was born March 9, 1934, in Hastings-on-Hudson, N.Y., to Jimmy and Delores Lacy Collins and died Saturday, June 20, 2009, in Enid.
She graduated valedictorian of her class in Hasting-on-Hudson. She was a graduate of Parsons School of Design after attending Pratt College in Brooklyn, N.Y. She later attended nursing school and became a psychiatric nurse, working in Texas and Oklahoma. She modeled and shot advertisements with Eddie Fisher. She returned to Lamont where she was a breeder of thoroughbred race horses, competing at Aqueduct and Belmont race tracks and around the Midwest.
She married David T. Kirk.
Surviving are one daughter, Martha Susan Moore of Enid, and two granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by one brother.
