Enid, OK — The funeral for Bessie Schmidt Quigley, 96, of Kingfisher, will be 2:30 p.m. today, June 27, 2009, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Kingfisher. Pastor David Krepel will officiate. Burial will be in El Reno Cemetery. Arrangements are by Sanders Funeral Service Inc., Kingfisher.
She was born Nov. 22, 1912, in El Reno to Herman and Ida Hendrickson Schmidt and died Wednesday, June 24, 2009, at Cimarron Nursing Center, Kingfisher.
She married Chris Quigley in 1934 in El Reno. She had lived most of her life in Kingfisher and was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church. She was a seamstress and a member of two travel clubs.
Surviving are two daughters, Leota Zunski of Coraopolis, Penn., and Christene DeMenars of Abilene, Texas; three sons, James Quigley of Kingfisher, Larry Quigley of Oklahoma City and Roger Quigley of Elkart, Kan.; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Chris, one son, two brothers and three sisters.
Memorials may be made to Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Kingfisher.
