James 'Turtle' Edward Goodwin

Enid, OK — A graveside service for James “Turtle” Edward Goodwin, 61, of Laverne, will be 10 a.m. Saturday, June 27, 2009, in Laverne Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be noon to 6 p.m. today at Myatt Funeral Home, Laverne.

He was born Dec. 17, 1947, in Vici to William W. and Bertha “Violet” Bentley Goodwin and died Tuesday, June 23, 2009, at his home.

He attended Laverne schools and was a member of Laverne Assembly of God Church.

Surviving are two brothers, Allen Goodwin of Fort Supply and Neal Goodwin of Laverne, and three sisters, Betty Feese of Woodward, and Barbara Northrup and Ronnie, both of Mooreland.

He was preceded in death by one brother.

Memorials may be made through the funeral, Box 909, Laverne, OK 73848, to the James Goodwin memorial fund.
