The memorial service for William Hans “Bill” Ring Jr., 65, will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 24, 2009, at First Church of the Nazarene, Bethany. He chose to be an organ and tissue donor.
He was born July 6, 1943, in Little Falls, N.Y., to William and Maisie Ring and died Tuesday, June 16, 2009.
He moved to Oklahoma with his family at age 16, where he graduated from Bethany High School in 1961. He worked his way through college as a house painter. He graduated from Bethany Nazarene College with a degree in business. He worked for an insurance company in Illinois, Connecticut and Minnesota.
He married Elaine “Lonnie” Timme in 1971. They later moved to Enid, where they owned a business and lived for 17 years before moving to Oklahoma City to start another business.
Surviving are his wife, Lonnie; two daughters, Heather Mundy and Allison Wear; six sisters, Sonia Ring, Sigrid Ring, Karen Borgstrom, Kathleen Lamb, Kristen Cantrell and Elaine McCaskill; four brothers, Phil Ring, Russell Ring, Matt Ring and Tim Ring; and three granddaughters.
Memorials may be made to the local YMCA, American Cancer Society or Bethany First Church of Nazarene, music department, 6789 NW 39th Expressway, Bethany, OK 73008.
