WAKITA — Funeral for Loberta Martin, of Wakita, will be 10 a.m. Monday, November 12, 2012, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel, Enid. Reverend Jeff Jackson will officiate. Burial will follow in Fairview McKeeman Cemetery, Medford.

Loberta was born November 21, 1923, in Amorita, Oklahoma, to Burton and Ethel Freeman and died November 9, 2012, in Bethany, Oklahoma.

Loberta received her bachelor’s degree in education and her master’s degree as a reading specialist. She taught second grade at Putnam City schools and first grade at Wakita schools. In addition to teaching, Loberta was the wife of a farmer and educator, mother of five children, and grandmother. She loved cooking, reading, sewing and spending time with family.

Loberta was preceded in death by her husbands, Elmer McKeeman and Lloyd Martin; a son, Harold McKeeman; three sisters; and two brothers.

She is survived by her children, Lea Mae Rankin of St. Cloud, MN, Leland McKeeman of Austin, TX, Linda Hall of Conroe, TX, and Tamie Brickmann of Yukon, OK; 12 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to NWOSU Education Scholarship. Condolences may be made at www.andersonburris.com.
