Funeral for Alfonso Benson Sr. will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013, at First Christian Church, Calument, Okla. Burial in Fort Sill National Cemetery, Elgin. Pastor Rodrick McDaniels officiating. Arrangements by Russworm Funeral Home, Watonga.
Alfonso was born Sept. 17, 1923, in Kansas City, Kan., to Alice W. and Ernest W. Benson and died Friday, Jan. 4, 2013, in Oklahoma City.
He married Lillie Mae Arther Aug. 23, 1949.
Preceded by wife, Lillie Mae, one son and nine siblings.
Surviving are daughter, Beverly Ann, five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
