Ruth Ann Curry Honigsberg, 77, of Enid, OK, died Saturday, March 9, 2013. She passed away peacefully in her sleep at home, in the company of her family.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 12, 2013, at Emmanuel Baptist Church with burial following at Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Wade Burleson will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. The family will receive friends 4-7 p.m. today, March 11, at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. The casket will be opened until 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home and will not be opened at the church.
Ruth Ann was born July 19, 1935 in Ames, OK, to Orville and Thelma Scott Curry. She graduated from Enid High School in 1953.
Her marriage to Berlin C. Marsh Jr. ended in divorce. They had three children. She was employed at Messer-Bowers Insurance from 1969 to 1972. Ruth Ann married Irvin M. Honigsberg at Emmanuel Baptist Church on April 14, 1972. After combining households with Irv’s four children, she became a full-time wife and mother.
Ruth Ann was an active member of Enid Rotary Club, serving on its board from 2009-2012. She was an active sponsor for many years of the Rotary’s team hosting the National Junior College World Series in Enid. Ruth Ann was a member of the Paul Harris Society in Rotary International. Ruth Ann and Irv were active in Rotary International, attending conferences worldwide, and hosting Rotary guests in their home from Japan, India and Brazil. She was an active member of Chapter DB, P.E.O. and RSVP, serving on its board of directors. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church since 1972 and an active member of Lydia’s Class in Sunday school.
Ruth Ann was a strong supporter of the Enid High football team and the Enid High Booster Club. Her decades-long passion for baseball naturally lent her to be an avid spectator at Enid High School, American Legion and Connie Mack games, as well as involvement in the Enid High Homerun Club. However, the Texas Rangers were her favorite team, inducing her to spend several winters in Surprise, AZ, so she could attend a month of daily spring training games.
Ruth Ann’s greatest roles were that of a loving daughter, wife, and mother, encouraging her family’s diverse interests by spending extensive quality time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Ruth Ann was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
She is survived by her seven children: Michele Cowen of Tulsa, Michael Honigsberg of Enid, Melonee Spurlock and husband Joe of Enid, Lori Bourne and husband Arnold of Durant, OK, Berlinda Marsh Bazzell and husband Paul of Scottsville, KY, Derek Marsh of Washington, D.C., and Barry Marsh of Enid; 13 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and numerous cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Stephenson Cancer Center at the University of Oklahoma or Hospice Circle of Love with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodians of the funds.

Earl Herman Rivenburg
Service for Mr. Earl Herman Rivenburg, 82, of Gilmer, Texas, will be 2 p.m. Saturday, May 18, 2013, at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gilmer, with Pastor Kerry Roy officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today, May 17, 2013, at the funeral home.
Mr. Rivenburg passed away on Monday, May 13, 2013, at Wesley Oaks Memory Care Center in Sulphur Springs, Texas, from complications of pneumonia.
He was born Dec. 6, 1930, in Peabody, Kan., to Hugh and Elizabeth Rivenburg.
Earl was their fifth and final child, as his mother died shortly after his birth. He was given to a hired hand and his wife to raise and unfortunately, his was not a happy childhood.
At an early age, he set out on his own and was taken in by Emma Seifert as a farmhand in Carrier, Okla., where he graduated from high school in 1948. It was here that he met and married his first wife, who bore his two children. -
Mary Frances Whitfill
Graveside service for Mary Frances Whitfill, 97, will be 2 p.m. Saturday, May 18, 2013, in Memorial Park Cemetery, Kansas City, Mo. Rev. Suzie Goldt will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Mary was born May 27, 1915, in Kansas City, Mo., to William Edward and Mary Etta (Paradise) Major and passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2013, at The Commons in Enid, Okla.
She grew up in Kansas City, Mo., graduating from Central High School in 1932.
She married her high school sweetheart, Elton Whitfill, on June 8, 1935, and celebrated 72 years of marriage before his passing in 2008. She was also preceded in death by a great-grandson. -
Scott Swan
Graveside service for Scott Swan, 49, former Seiling resident, will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 18, 2013, in Brumfield Cemetery, near Seiling. Service is directed by Redinger Funeral Home, Seiling.
He died Monday, April 15, 2013, in Houston, Texas.
He worked as a field service engineer for General Electric in Oklahoma City, Enid, and Houston. -

Lisa was born July 9, 1960, in Clinton, Okla., to Thomas Francis Lee and Maymie Limpy and died Thursday, May 2, 2013, at Sparks Hospital, Fort Smith, Ark.
Lisa graduated from high school in Eufaula, Okla. She was a homemaker for her family. -

Preceded by one brother, Jim Beam; two half-brothers, LeRoy Anding and Tillman Beam; and one half-sister, Theola Beam Rush.
Surviving are brothers, Bob Beam and wife Vivian of Edmond, Okla., Ed Beam of Crystal Lake, Ill., and Larry Beam and wife Beth of Bogue, Kan.; and sister, Linda Beam Parker of Lake Mary, Fla. -
