ENID, Okla. — Funeral service for Ross Lee Bonnett, 33, of Hunter, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012, at Central Christian Church, Enid, Okla. Rev. Don Johnson and pastors Butch Phillips and Brian Meyer will officiate. Burial will follow in White Cemetery, Hunter. Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home is in charge of the funeral arrangements.

Ross Lee Bonnett went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, Nov. 22, 2012, at his home in Hunter, Okla. He was born Aug. 16, 1979, to David and Cheri (Pirkl) Bonnett.

Ross grew up in Hunter and attended Pond Creek-Hunter schools, graduating with the class of 1998.

Ross had worked for Garfield County since he was 17, serving in various capacities. He thoroughly enjoyed being the “Grader Man” and loved his co-workers, who were his second family. When he wasn’t at the county, he was busy tending to his cattle and helping on his parents’ and grandparents’ farm.

Ross enjoyed serving his local community and friends by being an active member of the Hunter Volunteer Firefighter Association. He grew up in the Hunter Christian Church, where he was baptized in faith.

Ross enjoyed many activities, including fishing, hunting, horseshoes and whatever his nieces and their friends found to keep him busy. Ross was a gentle soul and was loved and will truly be missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Wesley and Joy Bonnett, and stepgrandmother, Reba Bonnett.

He is survived by his parents, David and Cheri Bonnett of Hunter; sister, Rachelle Bentley and husband Justin and two nieces Kate and Jolie of Pond Creek; grandparents, Harold and Goldie Pirkl of Garber, Okla.; uncles and aunts, Joe and Jan Greer of Enid, Steve and Denie Niehus of Enid and Shawn and Kim Salmon of Tuttle, Okla.; and many loving cousins and friends.

Memorials may be made to National Alliance Mental Illness (NAMI), 4200 Perimeter Center Dr.,  Suite 150, Oklahoma City, OK 73112 with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home, P.O. Box 3501, Enid, OK 73702, as custodian of the funds.
