Benjamin "Benj" Todd Robinson

ENID, Okla. — Benjamin “Benj” Todd Robinson, 37, was born October 31, 1974, in Enid to Bill and Cindi (Painter) Robinson. He died suddenly October 2, 2012, of a heart attack in Enid.

Benj married Lita Walkingbull with whom he had one child. They later divorced. He was C.L.E.E.T. certified, a certified lawn technician and a certified fitness trainer. His most recent employment was Athey Lumber Com-pany and Bekins Moving and Storage.

He was an excellent athlete, playing all sports, including baseball at Enid High School and Enid American Legion. Benj graduated from Enid High School in 1993.

Benj had an adventuresome spirit, and everyone he met was a friend. He was an avid OU football fan and loved fishing and the outdoors. His greatest love, however, was his daughter, Autumn Joy, whom he raised.

Surviving Benj are his daughter, Autumn Joy, of the home; father, Bill Robinson and mother, Cindi (Painter) Robinson, both of Enid; brother, Zac and wife Heather and their children, Jace and Xin Ai Robinson, all of Germany; grandmothers, Frances Painter and Joy Robinson, both of Enid; uncles and aunts, Jim Painter and wife Sandy of Enid, Sarylyn Sanders of Texas, Buddy Plummer and wife Linda of Broken Arrow; great-uncles and aunts, Marj Hohnbaum and husband Cec of North Little Rock, AR, Darlene Hillery of Enid, Roberta Kirkhart of Los Angeles, CA; and many friends too numerous to count.

He was preceded in death by an infant brother and sister, Beau Victor and Kacey Joy; grandfathers, William V. Robinson and Jim Painter; uncle, Richard Hillery; great-grandparents, Jess and Sarah Painter, Ed and Dru Hillery and Robert and Lela Kirkhart.

Funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday, October 5, 2012, at First United Methodist Church. Dr. Grayson Lucky and Reverend James Lambert will officiate. Burial will follow in Enid Cemetery. Services are under direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.

Memorials can be made through the funeral home in Ben’s name to American Heart Association or Multiple Sclerosis Society.

    Funeral service for John William Taylor, 85, Enid, will be 11 a.m. Thursday, June 20, 2013, at First United Methodist Church, with Rev. Randy Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.
    John was born Oct. 26, 1927, in Enid and was the only child of William and Nellie Ratcliff Taylor and passed away Friday, June 14, 2013, at his home.
    After graduating from Enid High School in 1944, at the age of 16, he briefly attended Phillips University. Shortly thereafter, John enlisted in the Air Force because of his lifelong love of flying. He served as staff sergeant in Guam.
    Prior to his deployment, he met and started courting his future wife, Sue Hackleman, of Stillwater, after meeting at the swimming pool in Green Mountain Falls, Colo. They married six years later on June 5, 1950, in Stillwater.
    After being discharged, John attended Oklahoma A&M until he returned to Enid to help run the Enid Publishing Co., where he served as president and owner until 1989. He was owner of KCRC-KNID radio stations and Enid Two-Way.

    Memorial service for Glenn William “Willie” Stephens II, 60, of Okeene, Okla., will be 2 p.m. today, June 18, 2013, at Central Christian Church, with the Rev. Don Johnson officiating.
    Willie was born Aug. 23, 1952, in Enid, Okla., to Glenn Sr. and Vera Wilma Haskins Stephens and passed away peacefully on Friday, June 14, 2013, in Okeene.
    Survivors include his brothers, Bobby Stephens and wife Elaine of Kingfisher, and John David Stephens and wife Dodie of Enid; and sister, Lana Ellis and husband Mike of Edmond.
    Willie was preceded in passing by his parents.

    Gloria Powell, 69, of Garber, Okla., was the daughter of Leon and Vada Jane (Wade) Stanfill. She was born May 10, 1944, in Gainesville, Texas, but was raised by H.H. “Tobe” Pruitt and his wife Vada.
    Gloria went to be with her heavenly father on Saturday, June 15, 2013, at Integris Bass Baptist Health Center, Enid, Okla.
    She graduated from Garber High School in 1962.
    Gloria lived in Oklahoma, Kansas, Colorado and Texas, before returning to Garber, Okla., in 1984.
    Gloria enjoyed her job. She went to work for the Oklahoma Department of Corrections, District 5, as a case manager in 1988, and retired in 2010, after 22 years of service.
    She married her sweetheart, Keith E. Powell on July 15, 1989, in Garber, Okla.
    Gloria took great pride in Garber, and was the mayor of Garber for one year.
