ENID, Okla. —
Graveside service for Mary Aletha (Black) Pospisil, 85-year-old Bison resident, will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012, in Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. Vernon Lee will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.
Mary was born Sept. 25, 1927, in Chickasha, Okla., to Jesse James Black and Zona Derinda (Burton ) Black and died Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center.
She was raised in Kingfisher, Okla., and graduated with the class of 1945 from Waukomis High School.
On Nov. 25, 1947, she married Charles Pospisil at Bison Catholic Church.
Mary worked at Hennessey Care Center, and in 1972, she went to work at St. Mary’s for 171⁄2 years.
She enjoyed quilting, reading, traveling and gardening.
She is survived by four daughters, Charlotte Pospisil Arnold and husband Larry, Donna Benell, Charlene Parker and husband Ron, and Denna Perigo and husband David, and one grandson, Ryan Perigo.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother, Wayne Black.
