ENID — The funeral for Naomi Mae Davis, 83, of Carmen, will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 11, 2010, at Carmen Christian Church. The Rev. Kirk Board will officiate. Burial will be in Carmen City Cemetery. Arrange-ments are by Wentworth Mortuary LLC, Carmen. Family visitation will be 4-5:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
She was born Jan. 9, 1927, in Cherokee to Lester Eugene and Alma F. Elwell Solf and died Friday, Feb. 5, 2010, at Golden Oaks Nursing Center.
She attended Carmen schools.
She married Jimmy Claude Davis July 25, 1943, in Cherokee. They farmed, ranched and raised race horses in the Carmen area. She was a lifelong member of Carmen Christian Church.
She returned to high school in 1960, graduating in 1961.
Surviving are three sons, Jim L. Davis O.D. of Killeen, Texas, Sammy E. Davis of Orange, Texas, and Bruce E. Davis of Houston; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy, two brothers and two sisters.
