ENID, Okla. —
Jerry David Schoeb passed away Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013, in Enid, Okla. He was born Jan. 30, 1928, to Jesse Byrd and Francis Roy Schoeb in Wichita, Kan.
He lived in Augusta until he was 16-years-old, when the family moved to Cherokee, Okla., to begin Schoeb Livestock.
He attended Cherokee High School for two years and completed high school and two years of college at New Mexico Military Institute. He graduated from Oklahoma A&M in 1949, with a bachelor’s degree in business. He was a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity.
After completing his education, he moved back to Cherokee, where he joined the family business.
In 1949, he married Peggy Eash and they had four children, Deborah, Amanda, David, and Pamela. In 1966, he married Carolyn Schein and they had two children, Sabrina and Susanna.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Cherokee, where he served on the Gustin Scholarship Committee for a number of years. He also served on the Cherokee School Board. He had a great love of travel, genealogical research and was active in the Republican Party.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Robert; two infant children; and his grandson, Andrew Cox.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Carolyn; his daughter, Amanda Redman and husband Henry of Goltry; his daughter, Pamela Schoeb of Denver, Colo.; his daughter, Sabrina Cox and husband Philip of Oklahoma City; his daughter, Susanna Schoeb of Oklahoma City; four grandchildren, Alyssa (Dee) Plummer, Miles (Kristy) Redman, Arienne Wiley and Ian Cox; and four great-grandchildren, Hudson Plummer, Meredith Plummer, Paige Redman and Kalynn Redman.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cal Farley’s Boys Ranch or OMRF through Lanman Funeral Home Inc., P.O. Box 126, Helena, OK 73741.
The funeral service for Jerry will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 18, 2013, at Cherokee United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Cherokee Municipal Cemetery with arrangements by Lanman Funeral Home Inc. Viewing and visitation with family present is Thursday from 5-7 p.m.

Floyd 'Ty' Lytle II
A memorial service for Floyd “Ty” Wayne Lytle II, age 53, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 25, 2013, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Addison (JR) Ools officiating.
Ty was born to Kenneth Wayne and Mary Bess (Spencer) Lytle on May 22, 1960, in North Kansas City, Mo., and died Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at his home in Enid. -
Douglas Lloyd Champlin
Douglas Lloyd Champlin of Gardnerville, Nev., died peacefully on Monday, May 20, 2013, in Scottsdale, Ariz., after a brief illness of cancer. He was born Jan. 9, 1941, in Enid, Okla., to Joe Noble and Jane Edwards Champlin.
He is survived by his wife, Laurel Raether Champlin; daughter, Christa Hampton and husband Cobey of Cave Creek, Ariz.; daughter, Claire Woolsey and husband Cole of Reno, Nev., and Cassidy Champlin of the home; six grandchildren; sister, Joanna M. Champlin and husband Shawnee Brittan of Oklahoma City, Okla.; and many nieces, nephews and beloved friends all over the world.
Doug was preceded in death by his parents and beloved brother, H.H. “Bud” Champlin, formerly of Enid, Okla.
As a young boy growing up in Enid, Okla., Doug developed a love for history and the military. He became a collector at a young age of toy soldiers, guns, and just about anything he could get his hands on related to history. -
Harold H. Jantzen
The graveside service for Harold H. Jantzen, 80-year-old Newton, Kan., resident will be 3 p.m. Friday, May 25, 2013, in the West New Hopedale cemetery under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home. The Rev James Suderman will officiate.
Harold was born Oct. 31, 1932, in Bessie, Okla., to Henry K. and Frieda (Froese) Jantzen and died Sunday, May 19, 2013 in Newton, Kan. After graduating high school he attended Grace Bible Intitute and the Bethel College. He then attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University, where he obtained his master’s degree. He then earned a specialist’s degree from Emporia College. -
James M. Dillard
Memorial service for James M. Dillard, 61, Pilot Oak, Ky., will be 3 p.m. Sunday, May 26, 2013, at Byrn Funeral Home Chapel, Mayfield, Ky. Abe Leonard will officiate.
James was born Sept. 5, 1951, in Fairview and died Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at home.
Surviving are two daughters, Margo (Chris) Kesinger of Tonkawa, and Francine (Sheldon) Wedel of Pilot Oak; one sister, Judy Dillard of Wichita, Kan.; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. -

Evie was born Oct. 24, 1940, in Mott, N.D., to Joe and Anna (Mayer) Miller and died May 21, 2013 in Enid.
She is survived by sons, Ivan, Sherlem, and Allan Zimbelman; daughters, Sharon Woods and Shelley Rauh; brothers, Harvey Miller and Dennis Miller; and one grandson, J.R. Zimbelman. -
