ENID — Funeral service for William Lee “Bill” Peters, 75, of Enid, will be 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 9, 2012, at Stittsworth Memory Chapel, with Chaplain Steve Meier officiating. Military rites will be coordinated by the honorable Silver Talon Honor Guard stationed at Vance Air Force Base. Bill’s family has selected the Stittsworth Family to handle arrangements.

Bill was born July 31, 1937, in Texhoma, Okla., the son of Robert Floyd and Gladys Aline Reynolds Peters and passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012, at his residence.

Bill married Janice Patterson in Las Vegas on May 17, 1971. He worked as an owner-operator truck driver for 30 years.

Bill was a member of the Moose Lodge as well as an “athlete fisherman.”

Survivors include his wife, Janice of the residence; son, Mark Patterson of Aline; daughter, Marla Valentine of Norman; nine grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; sister, Gayle Cable; and brother, Jerry.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Bob and Joe Peters.

The family has selected OMRF, cancer division, as appropriate for memorial donations with the Stittsworth Family coordinating. Remembrances may be shared online at www.stittsworthfuneralservices.com.

Ty was born to Kenneth Wayne and Mary Bess (Spencer) Lytle on May 22, 1960, in North Kansas City, Mo., and died Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at his home in Enid.

Douglas Lloyd Champlin
Douglas Lloyd Champlin of Gardnerville, Nev., died peacefully on Monday, May 20, 2013, in Scottsdale, Ariz., after a brief illness of cancer. He was born Jan. 9, 1941, in Enid, Okla., to Joe Noble and Jane Edwards Champlin.
He is survived by his wife, Laurel Raether Champlin; daughter, Christa Hampton and husband Cobey of Cave Creek, Ariz.; daughter, Claire Woolsey and husband Cole of Reno, Nev., and Cassidy Champlin of the home; six grandchildren; sister, Joanna M. Champlin and husband Shawnee Brittan of Oklahoma City, Okla.; and many nieces, nephews and beloved friends all over the world.
Doug was preceded in death by his parents and beloved brother, H.H. “Bud” Champlin, formerly of Enid, Okla.
As a young boy growing up in Enid, Okla., Doug developed a love for history and the military. He became a collector at a young age of toy soldiers, guns, and just about anything he could get his hands on related to history.

The graveside service for Harold H. Jantzen, 80-year-old Newton, Kan., resident will be 3 p.m. Friday, May 25, 2013, in the West New Hopedale cemetery under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home. The Rev James Suderman will officiate.
Harold was born Oct. 31, 1932, in Bessie, Okla., to Henry K. and Frieda (Froese) Jantzen and died Sunday, May 19, 2013 in Newton, Kan. After graduating high school he attended Grace Bible Intitute and the Bethel College. He then attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University, where he obtained his master’s degree. He then earned a specialist’s degree from Emporia College.

Memorial service for James M. Dillard, 61, Pilot Oak, Ky., will be 3 p.m. Sunday, May 26, 2013, at Byrn Funeral Home Chapel, Mayfield, Ky. Abe Leonard will officiate.
James was born Sept. 5, 1951, in Fairview and died Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at home.
Surviving are two daughters, Margo (Chris) Kesinger of Tonkawa, and Francine (Sheldon) Wedel of Pilot Oak; one sister, Judy Dillard of Wichita, Kan.; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Evie was born Oct. 24, 1940, in Mott, N.D., to Joe and Anna (Mayer) Miller and died May 21, 2013 in Enid.
She is survived by sons, Ivan, Sherlem, and Allan Zimbelman; daughters, Sharon Woods and Shelley Rauh; brothers, Harvey Miller and Dennis Miller; and one grandson, J.R. Zimbelman.
