Funeral service for Hazel Ott will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2012, at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. Burial will be in Del Norte Cemetery, Drummond, Okla. Arrangements by Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Hazel, age 89, passed away Thursday, Jan. 26, 2012, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength and service to her community.
Hazel was born Nov. 3, 1922, in the community of Barr, Okla., to Guy and Edith Long Bartlett.
After attending grade school in Barr, she graduated from Drummond High School. Hazel then went on to pursue her higher education at Oklahoma College for Women in Chickasha and the University of Oklahoma.
She married Ira Ott Dec. 24, 1942, in Barr, Okla. The couple were blessed with three children: Cheryl Lynn, Max Wayne and Sheri Kay.
While Ira served in the South Pacific during WWII, Hazel lived in Tulsa, Okla., working first at a photo lab and then for Douglass Aircraft to support the war effort.
After the war, Ira and Hazel began farming and raising livestock in the area south of Drummond and north of Ames, Okla.
Hazel was an active member of Puritan Congregational United Church in Drummond, where she served as a Sunday school teacher for over 30 years. Hazel took pleasure in chronicling the milestones of loved ones by making scrapbooks and photo albums, growing beautiful flowers, playing cards with dear friends and neighbors, fishing in South Texas, stamp collecting and spending time with her cherished family.
Hazel is survived by daughters, Cheryl Lovejoy and husband Steve of Azle, Texas, and Sheri Rogers and husband Bill of Norman, Okla.; son, Max Ott and wife Vicki of Cherokee, Okla.; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Hazel was preceded in death by her husband, Ira Ott, three brothers, Paul, Howard, and Mack Bartlett and one infant sister, Gertie Sue Bartlett.
Memorials may be made to Puritan Congregational United Church with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.

David Glenn White, 60, died Monday, April 30, 2012, at JPS Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas. He was born Jan. 1, 1952, in Beaver, Okla., the son of Glenn Hubert and Donna Ruth (Phelps) White.
He graduated from Liberal High School, Liberal, Kan., in 1970. -

Kim Errol Hungerford entered life on July 31, 1951, at General Hospital in Enid, Okla. It was a proud moment indeed for his parents, Ken Allen and Marilyn Hungerford, as he was the first of their seven children. He wasn’t an “only” child for long, and was soon joined by Kip Len, twins Chris Lee and Craig Alan, Kirk Jay, Candace, and finally, the youngest, Colette. -
