Revel Chapman Merryfield Sanders

ENID — Revel Chapman Merryfield Sanders went home to be with Our Lord and Savior on Monday, Oct. 22, 2012. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred Reaford and Ruth Berneice Schweitzer Chapman of Utica, Kan.; sister-in-law, Barbara Chapman of Bucklin, Kan.; and on Oct. 20, 2012, her youngest brother, Gary Chapman of Ethridge, Tenn.

She is survived by her husband, Wallace M. San-ders; twin brother, Royce Chapman of Bucklin, Kan.; sisters, Charlotte Martin and husband Roy of Arnold, Kan., and Sharon “Dot” Guess and husband of Liberty, Mo.; daughters, Cheryl Rich and husband Wayne of Chattanooga, Tenn., and Deana Armstrong and husband Phil of Fort Myers, Fla.; son, Bradley Merryfield and wife Tiffany of Covington, Pa.; granddaughter, Machelle Byers of Fort Myers, Fla.; grandsons, Travis Odom of Cleveland, Tenn., Nicholas Merryfield of Fort Richardson, Alaska, Cody Merryfield of Oklahoma City, Okla,; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Revel was born and raised in Arnold, Kan., and graduated from Arnold High School in 1955.

She eloped to marry Franklin “Dean” Merryfield of Beeler, Kan., in 1957. Her three children were born in Kansas and raised in Oklahoma.

In 1963, she moved to Enid, Okla. She attended Beetch’s Beauty College in Enid and graduated in 1971. She owned and operated “Beauty Center,” a beauty salon for over 20 years.

She later attended O.T. Autry Vocational Nursing School and graduated in 1991. She enjoyed working in nursing home facilities and later home care for elderly patients.

After her children were grown and she was on her own, she married Wallace M. Sanders on Oct. 16, 1994. She then moved to Longview, Texas, and was active in her church and it’s activities.

She was determined to live life to its fullest and was an inspiration to all who knew her.  She fought leukemia and cancer for many years.

Revel loved fishing, dancing, being with friends, crafts and reading. She enjoyed her church family and doing things with them.  She had many friends who became more family than friends. She adored her two dogs, Buddy Boy and Sadie Sue, who were her pride and joy and kept her active and fighting for life.

Funeral service will be conducted at noon Friday, Oct. 26, 2012, in the Chapel of Lakeview Funeral Home, Longview, Texas. The family will receive family and friends between 6 and 8 p.m. at the funeral home today, Oct. 25, 2012.

    Graveside service for Mrs. Marlene Elaine Davis, 79, of Lahoma, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 22, 2013, in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Lahoma, with Pastor Eric Brown officiating under the kind guidance of Stittsworth Funeral Service.
    She was born in Lahoma on Nov. 12, 1933, to Gilbert and Elna (Holz) Moehle and passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2013, in Enid.
    As a child, Marlene was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Lahoma.
    After completing the Lutheran school, Marlene graduated from Lahoma High School and attended nursing school at Bass Hospital in Enid.
    She married Donald Davis.

    Thomas was born March 17, 1942, in Muldrow, Okla., to James and Nezzie Carter Owens and died Saturday, May 18, 2013, in Enid.
    Surviving are son, Thomas Owens Jr. of Enid; daughters, Carole Ford of Red Bluff, Calif., Kristi Patricio of Sonora, Calif., and Irene Owens of Shawnee; seven grandchildren; and his siblings.

    She died Monday, May 20, 2013, at Midwest City Regional Hospital.

    Marie was born Dec. 24, 1922, in Guthrie, Okla., to Jewett S. Sr. and Gladys Grace (Wicker) Scott and died Sunday, May 19, 2013. She married Ben Brandt in June 1946.  
    Preceded by husband, Ben, and one sister.
    Surviving are children, Becky Butler, Ben Brandt Jr., Beverly Graham and Beth Pershall; brothers, Jewett Scott Jr.; sisters, Judy Smith and Jill Talley; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
