ENID — Funeral service for Frances Joan Bohannan, 69, will be 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 11, 2013, at Emmanuel Baptist Church, Enid, with Rev. Wade Burleson officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

Joan was born to William and Rneil (Sapp) Dowell on Jan. 10, 1944, in Preston, Mo., and passed away Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013, in Enid.

Joan attended Enid schools, Enid Business School, and Vo-Tech.

On March 22, 1997, she married Grady Bohannan.

Joan worked for over 20 years as the receptionist at The Methodist Home until her retirement.

Joan is survived by husband, Grady of the home; children, Tony Hornberger and wife Roxanne of Dodge City, Kan., Dale Hornberger and wife Susan of Waukomis, and Michelle McDaniel of the home; five grandchildren, Houston, Vaughn, Codi, Mason and Brysen; three great-grandchildren, Alissa, Clayton and Carson; four brothers, Hobert Gainer, Phillip Gainer, Dean Blevins and Byron Gainer; four sisters, Marilyn Rogers, Linda Blunt, Jeannie Carson and Janet Nusz.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Phil and Judy Gainer, and son Junior McDaniel.

Ty was born to Kenneth Wayne and Mary Bess (Spencer) Lytle on May 22, 1960, in North Kansas City, Mo., and died Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at his home in Enid.

Douglas Lloyd Champlin
Douglas Lloyd Champlin of Gardnerville, Nev., died peacefully on Monday, May 20, 2013, in Scottsdale, Ariz., after a brief illness of cancer. He was born Jan. 9, 1941, in Enid, Okla., to Joe Noble and Jane Edwards Champlin.
He is survived by his wife, Laurel Raether Champlin; daughter, Christa Hampton and husband Cobey of Cave Creek, Ariz.; daughter, Claire Woolsey and husband Cole of Reno, Nev., and Cassidy Champlin of the home; six grandchildren; sister, Joanna M. Champlin and husband Shawnee Brittan of Oklahoma City, Okla.; and many nieces, nephews and beloved friends all over the world.
Doug was preceded in death by his parents and beloved brother, H.H. “Bud” Champlin, formerly of Enid, Okla.
As a young boy growing up in Enid, Okla., Doug developed a love for history and the military. He became a collector at a young age of toy soldiers, guns, and just about anything he could get his hands on related to history.

The graveside service for Harold H. Jantzen, 80-year-old Newton, Kan., resident will be 3 p.m. Friday, May 25, 2013, in the West New Hopedale cemetery under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home. The Rev James Suderman will officiate.
Harold was born Oct. 31, 1932, in Bessie, Okla., to Henry K. and Frieda (Froese) Jantzen and died Sunday, May 19, 2013 in Newton, Kan. After graduating high school he attended Grace Bible Intitute and the Bethel College. He then attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University, where he obtained his master’s degree. He then earned a specialist’s degree from Emporia College.

Memorial service for James M. Dillard, 61, Pilot Oak, Ky., will be 3 p.m. Sunday, May 26, 2013, at Byrn Funeral Home Chapel, Mayfield, Ky. Abe Leonard will officiate.
James was born Sept. 5, 1951, in Fairview and died Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at home.
Surviving are two daughters, Margo (Chris) Kesinger of Tonkawa, and Francine (Sheldon) Wedel of Pilot Oak; one sister, Judy Dillard of Wichita, Kan.; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
