GARBER — The funeral for Vera Mildred Eggleston, 92-year-old Garber resident, will be 10 a.m. Monday, February 4, 2013, at Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Tommy LeGrand will officiate. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Vera was born June 11, 1920, in Buffalo, Oklahoma, to Ross Lee Price and Mable (Graff) Price and passed away Friday, February 1, 2013, in St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center.

She attended school in Buffalo and graduated with the class of 1938. She then attended college. After college, she worked for several years for Midwestern Life Insurance Co.

On June 4, 1960, she married Kenneth Duane Eggleston in Enid, where they made their home. She was a member of the Baptist church in Garber, where she moved after Kenneth’s death in 2000.

She enjoyed cooking, canning and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter, Tondelayo B. Rodriquez of Garber; her son, Donald Bittner and wife Bing of Shawnee; 11 grandchildren; 25-plus great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Edward Price; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one daughter, Donna Jean Tappen; two brothers, Lee and Lawrence Price; and two sisters, Velma Thompson and Verna Price.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Disabled American Veterans.
