MEAD — Vicky Lynette Tippie, of Mead, Oklahoma, passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2012, in Durant, Oklahoma, at the age of 53 years, 9 months, 9 days.

She was born Wednesday, April 16, 1958, to Ellsworth and Velma (Benson) Lytle in Enid, Oklahoma.

Vicky was of the Baptist faith. She worked as a nurse for several years and enjoyed crocheting, serving and cooking for the holidays. She also loved her snake Ethel and her dog Nubbins very much. Her favorite hobbies were camping and fishing with Richard Lawrence, her family and friends. Vicky was very caring and selfless; she would give if she had it.

She is survived by her daughter, Lea Ann Gertson and Jason Prater of Durant, Oklahoma; brother, Rick Lytle of Platter Flatts, Oklahoma; granddaughter, Kaibri Prater of Durant, Oklahoma; grandson, Danny Duke of McAlester, Oklahoma; adopted son, Ryan Locey of Durant, Oklahoma; and special friend Calvin Blagg of Durant, Oklahoma.

Vicky had many loving nieces and nephews along with an assortment of special friends that are too numerous to name but are all very important to her.

Vicky was preceded in death by her parents, Ellsworth Bentley and Velma Corinne Lytle; husband, Clyde Bode; son, Kody Gertson; daughter, Cheyenne Tippie-Blagg; and a niece, Virginia Privitt.

Memorial service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, January 28, 2012, at Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home Chapel in Durant, Oklahoma, with Brother Kerry Groce officiating.

David Glenn White, 60, died Monday, April 30, 2012, at JPS Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas. He was born Jan. 1, 1952, in Beaver, Okla., the son of Glenn Hubert and Donna Ruth (Phelps) White.
He graduated from Liberal High School, Liberal, Kan., in 1970.

Kim Errol Hungerford entered life on July 31, 1951, at General Hospital in Enid, Okla. It was a proud moment indeed for his parents, Ken Allen and Marilyn Hungerford, as he was the first of their seven children. He wasn’t an “only” child for long, and was soon joined by Kip Len, twins Chris Lee and Craig Alan, Kirk Jay, Candace, and finally, the youngest, Colette.
