Donna Aileen Hawkins was born June 27, 1927, to CR and Lillie Schultz on the family farm northeast of Kremlin, Okla.
She attended first grade at Linville County School. She then attended and graduated from Pond Creek High School in Pond Creek, Okla., in 1945.
She graduated from Phillips University, Enid, Okla., with a bachelor of science degree in commercial education in 1949.
She advanced her education further with a master of science degree in business education at Oklahoma A&M College in 1956, and began working on her doctoral degree at the University of Oklahoma and Central State University.
She began her teaching career at Attica High School in Attica, Kan.
She then taught in Thomas, Cherokee and Lawton, Okla. She retired from teaching in 1987 from the University of Central Oklahoma.
On June 6, 1959, Donna and Norwood Hawkins were united in marriage. Their daughter, Renee, was born March 24, 1964.
She was a dedicated member of Putnam City United Methodist Church and New Hope Sunday school class.
In addition to her church affiliations, Donna was an active member of Oklahoma County Retired Education Association, Oklahoma Educators Association, Beta Sigma Phi and PEO (Chapter DN).
She was preceded in death by her sister, Dorothy and twin, Baby Boy, brothers Carl and Merl Schultz.
Survivors include her husband of 52 years, K. Norwood (Woody) Hawkins of the home; Renee (Hawkins) and husband Benson Stallings of Chickasha; sister-in-law, Phyllis Schultz; nephew, Richard Schultz; nieces, Jane Schultz, Betty Bross and husband Merrill and their children, Adam and Amanda. In addition to family, Donna will be missed by many close friends.
Visitation will be held at Guardian West Funeral Home on today, March 2, 2012, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Family will greet friends from 6:30-8 p.m. Service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, March 3, 2012, at Putnam City United Methodist Church.

Floyd 'Ty' Lytle II
A memorial service for Floyd “Ty” Wayne Lytle II, age 53, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 25, 2013, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Addison (JR) Ools officiating.
Ty was born to Kenneth Wayne and Mary Bess (Spencer) Lytle on May 22, 1960, in North Kansas City, Mo., and died Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at his home in Enid. -
Douglas Lloyd Champlin
Douglas Lloyd Champlin of Gardnerville, Nev., died peacefully on Monday, May 20, 2013, in Scottsdale, Ariz., after a brief illness of cancer. He was born Jan. 9, 1941, in Enid, Okla., to Joe Noble and Jane Edwards Champlin.
He is survived by his wife, Laurel Raether Champlin; daughter, Christa Hampton and husband Cobey of Cave Creek, Ariz.; daughter, Claire Woolsey and husband Cole of Reno, Nev., and Cassidy Champlin of the home; six grandchildren; sister, Joanna M. Champlin and husband Shawnee Brittan of Oklahoma City, Okla.; and many nieces, nephews and beloved friends all over the world.
Doug was preceded in death by his parents and beloved brother, H.H. “Bud” Champlin, formerly of Enid, Okla.
As a young boy growing up in Enid, Okla., Doug developed a love for history and the military. He became a collector at a young age of toy soldiers, guns, and just about anything he could get his hands on related to history. -
Harold H. Jantzen
The graveside service for Harold H. Jantzen, 80-year-old Newton, Kan., resident will be 3 p.m. Friday, May 25, 2013, in the West New Hopedale cemetery under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home. The Rev James Suderman will officiate.
Harold was born Oct. 31, 1932, in Bessie, Okla., to Henry K. and Frieda (Froese) Jantzen and died Sunday, May 19, 2013 in Newton, Kan. After graduating high school he attended Grace Bible Intitute and the Bethel College. He then attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University, where he obtained his master’s degree. He then earned a specialist’s degree from Emporia College. -
James M. Dillard
Memorial service for James M. Dillard, 61, Pilot Oak, Ky., will be 3 p.m. Sunday, May 26, 2013, at Byrn Funeral Home Chapel, Mayfield, Ky. Abe Leonard will officiate.
James was born Sept. 5, 1951, in Fairview and died Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at home.
Surviving are two daughters, Margo (Chris) Kesinger of Tonkawa, and Francine (Sheldon) Wedel of Pilot Oak; one sister, Judy Dillard of Wichita, Kan.; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. -

Graveside service for Evelyn Nickel, 72, is 10 a.m., Saturday, May 25, 2013, at Cleo Springs Cemetery, with the Rev. Charles Newton officiating.
Evie was born Oct. 24, 1940, in Mott, N.D., to Joe and Anna (Mayer) Miller and died May 21, 2013 in Enid.
She is survived by sons, Ivan, Sherlem, and Allan Zimbelman; daughters, Sharon Woods and Shelley Rauh; brothers, Harvey Miller and Dennis Miller; and one grandson, J.R. Zimbelman. -
