Church briefs for Friday/7/13/12

Revival planned today, Saturday

The Jesus is Lord Evangelistic Ministries will hold a Holy Ghost Revival of restoration, anointed preaching, anointed singing and the presence of the Lord at 7:30 p.m. nightly today and Saturday, in the Prairie/Buckskin Room at Cherokee Strip Conference Center. Evangelist Dr. Sharon Rathbun, co-founder of Healing Ministries Bible College and Seminary in Blanchard will be featured. Music both nights will be by the JILEM Music Team.



Victory Bible Church VBS starts Monday

Victory Bible Church, 402 N. 20th (20th and East Elm) will hold Vacation Bible School from 6-8:30 p.m. Monday through July 20 for ages 4 through 6th grade. The theme will be “Noah and the Ark.” A Bible school program will be 7 p.m. July 20 for parents and friends, followed by refreshments in the fellowship hall. Bethel Hawley Baptist Church VBS set

Bethel Hawley Baptist Church will be conducting Vacation Bible School nightly from 6-9 p.m. beginning Sunday. Classes will be conducted for preschoolers through adults. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evening supper will be served from 5:15-5:45 p.m. in the fellowship hall.  

This year’s theme is “Amazing Wonders Aviation.” Classrooms will be decorated as one of the natural wonders of the world:  Great Barrier Reef, Northern Lights, Grand Canyon, Paricutin Volcano, Matterhorn and Victoria Falls.

A special program will be presented July 20 so the children can perform the songs of VBS. A picnic will take place immediately following the program.

Central Christian Church VBS slated

Central Christian Church will offer Vacation Bible School Sunday through Thursday. The theme is “Operation Overboard: Dare to Go Deep with God!” VBS is free and open to everyone in the community. Dinner will be served to all at 5 p.m. with VBS opening and classes for all ages starting at 5:45 p.m. and closing activities at 8:15 p.m.

School-age classes will include crafts, science, music, recreation and story-telling. There will be a nursery available for children 2 and under.
