Stand Up Oklahoma to be featured

PONCA CITY — Stand Up Oklahoma will be featured 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church in Ponca City, 218 S. Sixth.

This women’s night out features national Christian speaker Pam Kanaly, author of the popular book “Will the Real Me Please Stand Up.” Kanaly, a former television talk show co-host, has been featured on the “700 Club,” nominated as 2010 Oklahoma Mother of the Year and is co-founder of Survive ‘N’ Thrive,  the only statewide single mothers conference in America, and Ignite, a Southwest regional leadership conference featuring Sandi Patty, Kathy Troccoli, Lisa Whelchel and Lisa Harper.

The evening will include a special testimony from Shelley Pulliam, national teacher of the year in history education and co-chairperson of Gov. Mary Fallin’s inaugural prayer service. She will share insight from her book “Keys to Unlocking the Cage,” about her journey from the bondage of low self-worth.

Music will be led by Carmen Bond, a former theater and cruise-line performer who is active in choir and leading worship at Crossings Church in Oklahoma City.

There is no cost or registration and children 13 and older are welcome to attend. Childcare will not be provided.

Arise Ministries is a national nonprofit women’s organization that educates and encourages women through conferences, seminars, books, radio and TV ministries.
