Event slated for Saturday at Gaslight



Rodney Stamps will present “If I Knew Back Then What I Know Now” at 3 p.m. Saturday at Gaslight Theatre, 221 N. Independence. Special musical guests include Mothers of Ministry (M.O.M.S.) and Ce-Ce Baldwin. Doors open at 2 p.m. Cost is $10 per person at the door.

‘The Longest Night’ set for Wednesday



New Hope United Methodist Church, 613 N. Garland, will host “The Longest Night” at 6 p.m. Wednesday.

This service is designed for family and friends to come together as a reminder of what or who they have lost. It is a service of silence, prayers, scripture and music that acknowledges God’s presence is for those who mourn and for those who struggle. Everyone is welcome to come.



There’s a NEW church in town



North Enid Wesleyan Church (NEW) will officially launch Dec. 27 with Tom and Laura Pullin serving as pastors.

NEW began with home Bible studies in the fall of 2008. In September 2009, services moved to North Enid Community Building, 220 Redwood, after going through the denominational assessment program successfully.

Tom Pullin is an ordained Wesleyan minister. His district is Tri-State district, headquartered in Bartlesville. He has pastored for many years and holds a bachelor of science degree and master of divinity degree from Asbury Seminary in Wilmore, Ky.

Services are 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sunday and 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Bethel Hawley program Sunday



Bethel Hawley Baptist Church will present “Christmas Around the World” at 6 p.m. Sunday. The program combines the Christmas traditions of other countries with beloved Christmas carols. A reception will following the program.

A traditional Christmas Eve program will be 6 p.m. Thursday. Everyone is welcome. For information, contact the church at 839-2480.
