Enid area Lutheran Ladies to meet



The Lutheran Women’s Missionary League of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Breckinridge, will host a fall fest at 9 a.m. Oct. 10 for the Enid Zone LWML. Registration is not required. Registration and lunch is $5.

Gifts of the Heart will be paper products for the community center. The delegate of the National Convention in Portland, Ore., this past summer will give her report. Election of new officers will be held. Pastor Joe Myers, of Garber, will lead Bible study.

An elevator is available at the church. All are welcome to attend.

Redeemer to celebrate 75 years



Redeemer Lutheran Church, 215 S. Cleveland, will celebrate its 75th anniversary this weekend.

The celebration begins with the second annual Oktoberfest beginning at 11 a.m. Saturday.

The anniversary celebration concludes with two special worship services at 8 and 10:30 a.m. Sunday. Former pastor, the Rev. Richard Peckman, will speak.

A fellowship hour and continental breakfast will be served at 9:15 a.m, with a retrospective video slide show highlighting pictures and events since its founding in 1934. 

All these events are open to the public.
