Church Briefs for 3-16-2012

University Place Christian Church to celebrate



University Place Christian Church will celebrate the Rev. Dr. Thelma Chambers-Young’s second anniversary at 3:30 p.m. Sunday.

The Rev. Don Johnson, Central Christian Church Associate Minister will deliver the message and the Holy Temple Baptist Church of Oklahoma City the music.

The church is located at 2107 E. Broadway. All are welcome to attend the celebration.



The Rev. Don Couch to preach

at Evangel Assembly of God Church



The Rev. Don Couch will preach at 10:50 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sunday at Evangel Assembly of God Church, 2717 W. Broadway.

The Rev. Couch has pastored in the Tulsa area for more than 25 years. He has served as presbyter of 70 churches and approximately 300 ministers in the Tulsa area. For 15 years he served as youth director for the Tulsa section overseeing youth ministries.

 He also is the founder of Eastland Christian Academy, a school for children and youth with special needs and “Bring Them In,” a church for adults with special needs.



Bethel Baptist Church to host concert



Bethel Baptist Church, 901 S. Cleveland, will host John and Nelda Flanagan in concert at 10 and 11 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Sunday. Everyone is welcome.



Tabor College Choir to sing at

Mennonite Brethren Church



The Tabor College Concert Choir will give a performance at 7 p.m. Sunday at Enid Mennonite Brethren Church, as part of the annual spring tour, which will include eight performances in Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas. The church is located at 2500 N. Van Buren.

Under the direction of Dr. Brad Vogel, professor of choral music, the theme for this year’s concert series is “Eternity in our Hearts.”
