Two Enid sisters will be making some changes in each other’s homes during the Third Annual Changing Places project taking place June 29 & 30th.
Viewers of Enidnews.com, the Enid News & Eagle Web site, will be able to follow the progress in real time by clicking on to the Web page.
This year’s participants are Teddie and Rob Danielson, 3125 W. Cherokee and Timmie and Mike Stuber, 1124 Ramona Drive. Teddie and Timmie are sisters, and it was Teddie who submitted a letter for the project.
“I did it mainly because she’s my sister,” Teddie said. Danielson said her sister has been supportive and helpful since she and her family moved to Enid and she re-entered the workforce.
“It was a surprise,” she said.
Changing Places allows two families to trade homes and have one room re-designed. The budget for each project is $1,000. Designers Phillip Scaffetta and Britton Howerton have been brought in to work with the couples.
The project begins this morning with filming at each home. Web cams will follow the progress on the Enidnews.com Web site.
The new designs will be revealed Saturday, first at the Stuber home, then at the Danielson home.
This is the third year for the promotion, organized and arranged by Eagle Marketing.
“This is one those promotions that has become incredibly popular,” said Frank Baker, director of Eagle Marketing. “People really enjoy the challenge of taking a room in their home and having it redone in about 36 hours.”
