	Steve Kirk knows first hand the power of fundraisers such as the ninth annual Warrior Invitational softball tournament which will be held Aug. 20-21 at Kellet Park.&lt;br /&gt;
	Kirk was the medical benefactor of the first tournament nine years ago &amp;#8220;when I wasn&amp;#8217;t supposed to be here in six months.&amp;#8217;&amp;#8217;&lt;br /&gt;
	Nine years later, Kirk is playing softball again for the Warriors and determined to help another person with their medical expenses.&lt;/p&gt;

	Some new Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association basketball realignment rules were bad news for local basketball teams.&lt;br /&gt;
	The OSSAA has changed the alignment for classes 2A, A and B in basketball&lt;br /&gt;
	Class 2A used to consist of 64 schools (193-256 on the average daily membership list), Class A used to consist of 96 schools (257-352). Class B made up the rest.&lt;/p&gt;

	We&amp;#8217;ll know more in five years whether the decision of Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas, Texas Tech and Texas A&amp;amp;M to turn down the Pac 10 in favor of staying in the Big 12 (with 10 teams) was a good one.&lt;/p&gt;
