Negast attends seminar



Anthony Negast, of Garber, a Modern Woodmen of America representative, recently completed a five-day educational program at Modern Woodmen’s home office in Rock Island, Ill.

The program focused on helping families with Modern Woodmen life insurance plans, annuities and fraternal member benefits.

Founded in 1883, Modern Woodmen of America offers financial products and fraternal member benefits to individuals and families throughout the United States.



Smith named UniFirst employee of year



UniFirst Corporation recently named Chris Smith of Enid as its employee of the year.

“We recognized Chris for this unique company honor because of the ongoing contributions he makes to UniFirst’s success and his constant willingness to go the extra mile in creating customer satisfaction,” said Mike William, manager of UniFirst in Enid.

Smith, who has worked for UniFirst since 2008, lives in Enid with his wife, Tiffany, and daughter, Kaia.



Stittsworths open Medford office



The Stittsworth family opened a new funeral service office July 12 at 117 E. Cherokee, Medford.

The office serves Grant County as well as parts of Kay and Alfalfa counties.

Andrew pushes for legislation



Bill Andrew, an Enid financial adviser at Edward Jones, recently met with legislators in Washington, D.C., to ask for legislation to increase savings and enhance retirement security.

Andrew was one of 52 financial advisers chosen from among the firm’s 12,000 who traveled to the nation’s capitol.



Baker named SNB employee of quarter



Phyllis Baker recently was named Security National Bank’s employee of the quarter for the second quarter of 2012.

“Phyllis Baker has tremendous knowledge of the banking industry and continues to be a mentor to those newer to banking,” said Brad Blankenship, president of Security National Bank. “Her guidance and leadership is a tremendous value to Security National Bank.”



Allen named associate of month



Ashley Allen recently was named associate of the month for June at Northcutt Chevy-Buick-Toyota, 3201 W. Garriott.

Allen has worked in the GM sales department for four months and has 20 years of experience in auto sales.



Weaver earns award



Lisa Weaver, of Century 21 Homes Plus, recently earned Century 21’s Quality Service Pinnacle Producer Award.
