Beierschmitt named Northcutt Associate of the Month

Taylor Beierschmitt has been named Associate of the Month for July at Northcutt Chevy-Buick-Toyota, 3201 W. Garriott. He has been with Northcutt for three years, first in automotive sales before moving to the finance and insurance department.

Strope now bereavement coordinator for hospice

Hospice Circle of Love has hired Kevin Strope as their new bereavement coordinator.  As part of the organization’s spiritual care team, he will work with Chaplain Jeff Jackson to assist patients with their spiritual needs.  Strope also will help patient’s families work through their grief with visits, cards and phone calls. In addition, he will serve as part of the not-for-profit organization’s bereavement team and help lead grief groups. The quarterly groups are open to anyone in the community who is dealing with the death of a loved one.

Hospice Circle of Love’s spiritual care advisors are part of a team of caregivers that helps terminally ill patients live a higher quality of life at the end of life, through physical, emotional and spiritual support.  

Strope replaces Chaplain Byron Neufeld who left his position at Hospice Circle of Love to move to California to be closer to his children.

In addition, to his new position at Hospice Circle of Love, Strope is the pastor at Temple Baptist Church in Enid.

Campbell promoted to area manager for Yellowbook

Sue Campbell has been promoted as area manager for Yellowbook. She has been with the company for six years as a sales rep and district sales manager. She will be overseeing the markets of Enid, Stillwater, Weatherford, Woodward and Oklahoma City.

Rhainey Cross, formerly of Sandy’s Family Haircutters, and Courtney Robar, formerly of Pro Cuts, now are working at Solitudes Salon and Day Spa, 802 B W. Maine.

Local florist completes seminar on sympathy design

JoAnn Webber, Huffman Floral in Enid, recently completed the “Sympathy Expressions” class hosted by Teleflora at education center in Oklahoma City. Floral designers from all over North America attended the seminar to learn the latest trends and techniques in flowers to express sympathy and how to provide a valuable service to their community in a time of need.

Webber received a certificate of completion from the Teleflora Education Center for participating in four days of intensive hands-on sessions, mastering the latest designs in casket sprays, vase arrangements and set pieces. She also learned new ways to cooperate with funeral professionals.

Middleton is YMCA’s new sports director

Megan Middelton has been promoted to sports director at Denny Price Family YMCA.

Middelton graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 2005, where she played for the women’s volleyball team. She will promote and expand the youth and adult sports programs at the YMCA. 

Box joins YMCA as personal trainer

John Box has joined the Denny Price Family YMCA as a personal trainer.  

Box brings more than five years of experience in the fitness field. His training credintials are from SCW personal training. He specializes in personal training and strength conditioning coaching and works with athletes of all different types of sports including swimming, football, baseball, basketball, powerlifting, wrestling, track and field and athletic training for all ages and levels.

McCoy selected for Patriot Award

Pam McCoy, of Enid, was selected for and received the Patriot Award from the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve organization.

She was nominated by Dustin King, a member of the United States Army Reserve.

The Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) is a national organization of volunteers working with the Department of Defense in supporting national defense needs while working with civilian employers to solve problems which may come about between the military service and civilian employment of Guard and Reserve members.

The Patriot Award recognized outstanding support and cooperation by employers and supervisors of men and women under their civilian employ who are also members of the Guard and Reserve organizations.
