Ross attends chamber management institute
Brittany Ross, of Greater Enid Chamber of Commerce, was among 21 chamber professional from across the state recognized by Oklahoma Chamber of Commerce Executives (OCCE)
Classes provided insight into management issues such as program development, finance, economic development, marketing, state resources, membership recruitment and retention and chamber administration.
OCCE is a statewide organization for chamber of commerce professionals dedicated to the professional development of its members.
Participants in OCCE Chamber Management Institute are chamber executives, staff and board leaders from chambers of commerce throughout the state of Oklahoma.
Bland-Selix named local CareTeam branch manager
Enid native Lisa Bland-Selix is branch manager of the Enid CareTeam In-Home Service, which opened locally in September at 228 Kenwood.
Bland-Selix has extensive management and marketing experience and owned and operated her own business for 20 years. In 2007, she completed a masters of business administration degree with an emphasis in marketing from the University of Phoenix.
“Lisa brings a lot to the table as manager for us in Enid, with her knowledge of Enid and the surrounding areas,” said Sherrie Childers, vice president of operations. “We are proud to have her as part of our team and look forward to providing a valuable, much-needed service to the Enid area.”
CareTeam In-Home Service offers personalized services to help clients remain in their homes.
Criminal history and personal reference checks are completed for those who become caregivers. They also pass company procedures in compliance with licensing requirements.
CareTeam is available for those discharged from Medicare service who have been hospitalized, recuperating from an illness or who might need help with daily activities. Services include housekeeping, bathing, grooming, meal preparation, errands, transportation or medication assistance.

Wymer Brownlee honors dedication of employees
Erica Shaloy, Fairview tax director; Sharon Hume, Enid and Tulsa tax director; and Aaron Brownlee, COO, have reached five-year employment milestones with Wymer Brownlee in 2009.
Each received an acrylic award in recognition of their years of commitment and leadership.
Ringwood business earns Gold Reinke Pride award
H&L; Irrigation, of Ringwood, has received a Gold Reinke Pride award from Reinke Manufacturing, a manufacturer of mechanized irrigation systems.
The award was given in recognition of the company’s 2008-09 marketing year success. H&L; Irrigation was honored during Reinke’s recent annual convention in Austin, Texas.
Harold Schmidt, of H&L;, accepted the award.
“We are extremely pleased with H&L; Irrigation and everything they have accomplished this past year,” said Tim Goldhammer, Reinke vice president of marketing. “We appreciate the commitment H&L; Irrigation and their staff have made to help market Reinke irrigation equipment.”
Reinke dealerships from across the United States and Canada gathered to attend Reinke’s annual convention. The awards ceremony recognizes select Reinke dealerships for their hard work and dedication to sales and marketing throughout the past year.
Reinke Pride awards are part of an incentive program distinguishing achievement levels according to an evaluation based on a dealership’s exterior and interior housekeeping and maintenance, indoor and outdoor displays, safety, retail environment, merchandising, professionalism, promotions and event participation and market share.
Local Holiday Inn Express part of new brand launch
Enid Holiday Inn Express is among the first to receive the company’s new sign, part of a worldwide brand relaunch.
“We look forward to offering our guests an enhanced stay experience with a new look and exceptional levels of customer service,” said Bill Patel, of Enid Holiday Inn Express. “The hotel has invested over $200,000 to relaunch the brand, which includes new signage, exterior lighting, continuous music around the property, recreation of the new breakfast bar with a huge selection, fresh new linen and new bedding.”
The 78-room hotel is within walking distance of several restaurants and Oakwood Mall and offers conveniences such an indoor pool, meeting rooms, business center and fitness center.
