Devoll elected to Oklahoma Bar Association



Oklahoma Bar Association elected Enid attorney Glenn A. Devoll to serve a three-year term on its Board of Governors. Election results were announced at the OBA’s 105th annual meeting recently in Oklahoma City.

In addition to his law practice, Devoll will begin serving his term Jan. 1 and officially will be sworn into office Jan. 15 at the Oklahoma Supreme Court courtroom in the state Capitol.

Devoll will represent Judicial District 4, which includes Alfalfa, Beaver, Beckham, Blaine, Cimarron, Custer, Dewey, Ellis, Garfield, Harper, Kingfisher, Major, Roger Mills, Texas, Washita, Woods and Woodward counties.

Devoll is an attorney at Gungoll, Jackson, Collins, Box and Devoll PC in Enid. He received a bachelor of arts degree from Central State University and his juris doctorate degree from Oklahoma City University. His main areas of practice are oil and gas, banking and commercial law. He is a member and past president of Garfield County Bar Association as well as a member and past chairman of OBA Mineral Law Section.







Poole moves to Patton’s Hair Salon

Kepford awarded child development associate credential



Norene Kepford of Enid has been awarded the Child Development Associate (CDA) credential in recognition of outstanding work with young children. The credential was awarded by the Council for Professional Recognition in Washington, D.C., which represents the early childhood education profession.







Local RE/MAX staff attend seminar



RE/MAX Evolution Tour was held Nov. 2 in Oklahoma City. Topics covered included social media, the Internet and lead generation systems. Three applicants, hoping to join the RE/MAX team, successfully completed the seminar. Devon Smith-Dunn, Summer Detrick and Tom Nichols were accompanied by Gary and Sherry Young, owners of the local RE/MAX office.







Noonan attends dealership conference



Alicia Noonan from the Enid office of BKD, LLP recently attended the 2009 AICPA Auto Dealership Conference in New Orleans. The conference provided a comprehensive economic and legislative update on policies targeted at auto dealers in the federal stimulus bill, as well as a finance panel that examined the ongoing credit crisis from both dealer and lender perspectives. Additional topics covered were fraud detection, dealership labor issues, and recent developments in the taxation of dealerships.







Ingham receives award for leadership



In its Tribute to Excellence ceremony Oct. 7, during the H2O-XPO in Louisville, Ky., National Rural Water Association (NRWA) presented Terry Ingham, of Enid, with the Peer Leadership Award for his efforts as a water circuit rider in the development and advancement of rural water in rural Oklahoma.

Ingham has been associated with Oklahoma Rural Water Association for more than 16 years. Initially he worked for ORWA’s for-profit subsidiary, Water Systems Management, Inc., where he conducted water and energy audits and provided consulting services on system operation, management, water treatment, smoke testing and other system operational and maintenance issues.

In 1994, Ingham began working as an ORWA circuit rider. His responsibilities include providing on-site technical assistance to assist rural and small community water systems solve operation, maintenance and management problems.

Ingham began his career in the water industry in 1982. Prior to his employment with ORWA, he was manager/operator of rural water districts in Logan County and Garfield County, where he was responsible for all day-to-day operations and maintenance.







J&P; Supply to celebrate 15 years



Jenkins & Price, Inc. will soon celebrate 15 years in business. Partners Seth Jenkins, Matt Price, Mark Price and Brent Price established the company in 1995.

J&P; Supply provides a full line of janitorial/sanitary cleaning supplies and equipment and has introduced a new technology designed to inhibit the growth of bacteria and viruses at home or work for months at a time. There are 10 full-time employees and four part-timers.
