Century 21 Homes Plus receives award
Century 21 Real Estate LLC recently honored Century 21 Homes Plus in Enid with the 2005 Century 21 President’s Award. Doug Finnegan is broker/owner of Enid’s Century 21 Homes Plus.
The annual award is bestowed upon those Century 21 System offices that earn the Century 21 Centurion award and the Century 21 Quality Service Pinnacle award in the same calendar year.
The Centurion Award is presented to Century 21 System offices that achieve or surpass sales production of $1,590,000 or 400 closed transaction sides within a calendar year.
The Quality Service Pinnacle award is presented to offices that receive satisfaction surveys for at least 25 percent of consumers surveyed from January to October, with an average survey score of at least 95 percent for the previous two years.
“We are thrilled to recognize the work of Century 21 Homes Plus for this momentous achievement,” said Thomas R. Kunz, president and chief executive officer, Century 21 Real Estate LLC. “This is an outstanding honor for Century 21 Homes Plus, Enid, since only a small percentage of offices in the United States received this award in 2005.”
Temple named TPI Employee of the Month
Raymond Temple has been chosen TPI Staffing Service Inc. Employee of the Month for March 2006.
Temple was recognized for his dependability and hard work, officials said.

Thornton Northcutt Employee of the Month
Danny Thornton has been named Employee of the Month for March at Northcutt Chevy-Buick-Toyota, 3201 W. Garriott.
Thornton has been with the Northcutt sales department for 12 years. He works to satisfy the needs of his customers, his supervisors said.
Thornton has received Chevrolet’s highest salesperson recognition, the Platinum Level Marks of Excellence Award for sales and customer satisfaction.
“Thornton is truly a leader and a valuable asset to this dealership,” his supervisors said.
State, federal tax regulation workshop set
A seminar on Oklahoma state and federal tax regulations will be 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 3 at the Oklahoma Small Business Development Center office, 2929 E. Randolph, room 222.
The workshop is sponsored by Counselors to American’s Small Business (SCORE), Oklahoma Small Business Development Center and Oklahoma Tax Commission in partnership with U.S. Small Business Administration.

Ward Petroleum announces 2 promotions
Ward Petroleum Corp. has announced two recent promotions. David Rippee was named vice president for exploration and Gilbert Tompson was named vice president for land.
Rippee graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1980. He has bachelor’s and master’s degrees in geology. He previously was employed by Sohio Petroleum (1978-1980) as a geophysicist and Arco (1980-1989) as a geologist, concentrating his efforts in the Arkoma, Anadarko, Permian and Michigan basins, Southern Oklahoma and offshore Gulf Coast.
He joined Ward Petroleum in May 1989 as a staff geologist and was promoted to exploration manager in 1997.
Tompson graduated from Southern Methodist University in 1969 with a bachelor’s in business administration in management. He previously was employed by Cities Service Co. (1974-1976) and BTA Oil Producers (1976-1979) as a landman, and he held the position of manager of land at Santa Fe Minerals and Andover Oil Co. (1979-1983).
He joined Ward Petroleum as land department manager in 1983.
Williams Broadcasting employees receive Top 10 awards at Dallas convention
Williams Broadcasting General Manager Jerry Butler and Sales Manager Cheryl Myatt recently were recognized during the annual Radio Wayne Awards held at the annual Radio Advertising Bureau Convention in Dallas.
Butler was recognized as one of the Top 10 General Managers nationwide.
Myatt was recognized as one of the Top 10 Sales Managers nationwide.
No consideration is given to market size, as all nominees were judged by past Radio Wayne Award winners and professionals from across the country.
Other members of the elite top 10 represented such cities as Miami, Detroit, Houston Washington, D.C., Denver and Philadelphia.
According to Radio Ink Magazine, “We received more Radio Wayne Award nominations this year than ever before, making this year’s judging process particularly difficult.”
Radio Wayne Awards are named after the late Radio Wayne Cornils, a nationally known radio personality who served as senior vice president for radio with the National Association of Broadcasters, as well as executive vice president of the Radio Advertising Bureau.
Both Butler and Myatt were featured in the latest issue of Radio Ink magazine.
