Bartley receives LPC credentials

Lori Bartley, of Youth and Family Services, recently received her licensed professional counselor (LPC) credentials.

Bartley completed a master's of counseling psychology degree from Northwestern Oklahoma State University-Enid and completed an extra 15 credit hours beyond the degree requirements to be eligible for LPC licensure.

After passing the National Counseling Exam, she logged 3,000 hours of supervised counseling sessions to complete her credentialing. Bartley teaches active parenting classes offered through YFS.

McNeill joins Queens Library

Oklahoma native Dale McNeill has joined Queens Library in Jamaica, N.Y., as director of community library services.

With 25 years of library experience in Oklahoma and Texas, McNeill has responsibility over all community library operations, reporting to Maureen O'Connor, director of library services.

Before coming to Queens Library, he was the public service administrator at Dallas Public Library, comprising 23 branches, a central library and a bookmobile, which serves residents of the city of Dallas, including one joint-use library (with Dallas Independent School District). In Dallas, he had responsibility for branch libraries as well as the central library.

McNeill is active with such professional organizations as the American Library Association, currently serving on its Reference and User Services Association's editorial board of the journal RUSQ; Beta Phi Mu; and Texas Library Association. Past professional library activities included service as chapter president of REFORMA.

He holds an MLS degree from Louisiana State University at Baton Rouge, and a bachelor of arts in education from Phillips University in 1984. He is a 1979 graduate of Ada High School.

He attended Coolidge Elementary School and Longfellow Junior High School in Enid. He worked at Public Library of Enid and Garfield County as a library assistant and as a children's librarian prior to earning his MLS degree.

ADM Milling recognizes 7 employees for service

ADM Milling Co. recently congratulated seven employees for reaching milestones in their employment with the company.

Cheryl Smith was honored for 30 years service, Marvin Ballew for 15 years, Bob Wills 10 years, Jack Blackwell and Robert Christmas for 5 years each, and Bobby Lane and Patrick Carr for one year each.

"Thank you for your many years of dedicated service," said an ADM official.

A new store fearing fashion jewelry and accessories at discount prices opened Friday at 214 Sunset Plaza in Enid in the old Beautyco location.

Xccessorize is a new addition to the family of Harry Hines Trading Co. The store has more than 2,000 square feet of designer-inspired purses, jewelry, luggage, children's items and much more.

New items arrive daily with prices ranging from $1.99 to $79.99

Xccessorize is fashioned after the premier, wholesale shopping experience found on the famous Harry Hines Boulevard in Dallas.

Truttmann attends makeup class

Michelle Truttmann, makeup artist at CL Meyer Salon -- Day Spa recently attended an advanced hands-on makeup artistry class held in Oklahoma City. The class was taught by Christian McNally, makeup artist to such stars as Denise Richards, Beyonce, Heidi Klum and others.

The class covered keys on makeup blending, which types of skin to use a liquid, pressed or powder of the Jane Iredale mineral makeup line. Much of the class was on proper application of eye makeup to make the most of individual eye shapes and color, the covering of a tattoo, fast tips to turn a daytime makeup into nighttime glamour and doing bridal makeup.
