Cartmell completes schooling

Doug Cartmell, credit analyst/assistant vice president for Bank of Kremlin in Kremlin, has completed Graduate School of Banking at Colorado. GSBC is an intensive 25-month banking school providing senior management and leadership education for community banking professionals. The school is held each summer on the campus of the University of Colorado in Boulder, Colo. Each student has been recognized by their bank CEO, president and/or supervisor as a rising star within the organization.

According to a GSBC press release, completing the school is a significant accomplishment in the banking and financial services industry.

Students receive a diploma upon successfully completing six weeks of classroom training focusing on the areas of general management, lending, leadership and human resource management and financial management. Requirements also include comprehensive examinations, intersession research projects and participation in a bank management simulation course designed to provide the banker/student with experience in managing a bank.

The 62nd annual school session was held July 15-27 at GSBC. Cartmell was among nearly 120 graduates from across the country recognized in a ceremony July 26 at Folsom Field.
