Mason joins Classy Cut



Theo Mason has joined Classy Cut, 602 W. Garriott.

She has five years experience in coloring, cutting, styling, perming, nail enhancing services, ebony hair services, pedicures and manicures, eye lash perms/coloring, airbrush nail art and specializes in exotic hair coloring and cuts, band hair extensions and relaxers.

Gomez named Employee of  Month



St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center announces Montserrat Gomez of the housekeeping department has been named the Employee of the Month for August.  She has worked at St. Mary’s since August 2007.

 



Perry joins Advanced Water Solutions



Robert Perry comes to Advanced Water Solutions from Oklahoma State University to serve as EcoSmarte product director and account manager.  His primary responsibility will be the development of Advanced Water Solutions EcoSmarte pool, spa and landscaping water filtration products. Perry will provide day-to-day support of customers’ accounts and serves as the primary point of contact between the customer and the company with pool, spa and landscape filtration systems.  

He received a bachelor of landscape architecture degree earlier this year from Oklahoma State University.

 



Reames named Employee of Quarter



Mary Reames has been named Security National Bank of Enid’s Employee of the Quarter for the second quarter of 2010.  Reames has been with Security National Bank for 11 years and was hired as a teller.  She currently is a head teller and supervisor.

“Mary’s professionalism and vast knowledge has helped her cultivate a great working environment for those she supervises and a great environment for bank customers,” said bank president Brad Blankenship. 

Reames is a member of National Association of Professional Women and a lifetime member of Girl Scouts.  

She has four children, two stepchildren and seven grandchildren with two more on the way. 

 



Harrison named to OVAC board



Traci L. Harrison, of Enid, has been named a new board member for The Oklahoma Visual Arts Coalition (OVAC), a non-profit organization that supports visual artists living and working in Oklahoma and promotes public interest in the arts.

OVAC achieves its mission through publications, education, exhibitions and Oklahoma’s largest online gallery. Established in 1988, OVAC serves 4,000 artists every year with in-depth programs.

Harrison was named to the board in July.

 Harrison is a certified early childhood and elementary teacher who found her niche while teaching a talented and creative sixth-grade class in 2005. She discovered the potential in each of her students while teaching art history, art production and art criticism.  

She has been an advocate for arts and arts education and has chaired a Meet the Masters art enrichment program for an elementary school in Edmond. She’s taught yoga, mixed media and clay workshops for Edmond Fine Arts Institute. She also is part of the 2010 Leadership Arts class through Oklahoma Arts Council.

 



Nichols receives Rising Star Award



Sherry Nichols, CHHA, has received the Carter Healthcare & Hospice Rising Star Award.

Carter bestowed the award on the basis of numerous phone calls and compliments on Nichols’ caring attitude and work ethic. Her supervisors recognized her for going above and beyond for patients, many of whom have told the company she has touched their lives in many ways.
