— Sidwell celebrates 30 years in Goltry
Sidwell Insurance, of Goltry, has celebrated 30 years in business in the small Alfalfa County town.
The anniversary of the agency, which is well known for crop insurance, was marked with a celebration. Guest speaker was Art Barnaby, professor of ag economics at Kansas State University. He spoke on the current Farm Service Agency programs as well as changes in crop insurance for the 2011 crop year.
“A business is only as strong as the customers which come back year after year, and that’s what we at Sidwell Insurance think about every day — personalizing and optimizing our service for our customers,” said owner Brenda Sidwell.
Daughter Bambi Sidwell has returned to Oklahoma after eight years in California and plans to open a second Sidwell Insurance office in Piedmont.
