Baker, 80

Royce Baker will celebrate his 80th birthday with a come-and-go reception for family and friends 1-4 p.m. Nov. 28 at Waukomis United Methodist Church. He requests no gifts. Cards may be sent to 303 N. Main, Waukomis, OK 73773.

He was born Nov. 27, 1929, on the family homestead southwest of Waukomis, to Ted and Lena Landwehr Baker. He attended Morning Star School and graduated from Waukomis High School in 1947.

He has farmed in the Waukomis area all of his life. He served in Germany during the Korean War. Following his discharge, he farmed and worked as a dispatcher at Troop J of Oklahoma Highway Patrol for more than 29 years. He is a member of Waukomis Untied Methodist Church.

His children are Wayne and Gwenda Baker, Woodlands, Texas; Gary Baker, Oklahoma City; and Tony and Miranda Baker, Edmond. He has seven grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.



Milhime, 90

Leola Milhime will celebrate her 90th birthday with a come-and-go reception for family and friends 1-3 p.m. Saturday at Family Faith Fellowship, 1302 W. Broadway. Cards may be sent to Box 1124, Enid, OK 73702.

She was born Nov. 18, 1919, the daughter of Sam and Lena Smith. She attended Ringwood schools.

She retired from Kmart. She was a foster grandparent for 15 years.

Her children are Beverly McKinney, Enid, and Jerry Milhime, Mansfield, Texas. She has seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
