Heim, 80
Ken Heim will celebrate his 80th birthday with a reception for family and friends 2-4 p.m. Sunday at Breckinridge Community Center. Cards may be sent to 3120 W. Oklahoma, Enid, OK 73703.
He was born Oct. 24, 1929, on a farm southeast of Enid the son of Art and Laura Heim.
He graduated from Garber High School in 1948. He served in the Army during the Korean War.
He married Eva Kurtz Aug. 9, 1953. He worked 13 years for Hackney Welding Supply and 23 years for the cable television industry in Oklahoma and Kansas, retiring as state manager of Kansas in 1989.
He is a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Breckinridge.
His children are Teresa and Tom Caraway, Oklahoma City, and Michelle and Louis Fox, Tulsa. He has five grandchildren.
