Humphrey, 100

ENID — Olive Humphrey will celebrate her 100th birthday with a reception for family and friends 2-6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 5, 2012, at The Commons, 301 S. Oakwood, Enid, OK 73703. Cards may be sent to 6314 N. Van Buren, Enid, OK 73703.

Olive was born Aug. 5, 1912, in Enid, Okla., in the house her father built in 1908, the daughter of Peter William Dickman and Minerva (May) Annie Phillips.

She is a graduate of Enid High School.

She married Christian Peter Christiansen May 26, 1935, and later married Louis R. Humphrey Sept. 6, 1955.

She was a homemaker and worked for a number of years at Woolworth in Enid. She is a member of VFW Ladies Auxiliary and a lifetime member of First Friend’s Church.

Her children are the late William “Bill” P. Christiansen, the late Richard Christiansen and the late Christine Leake-Barwick. She has eight grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
