Personal story: Standing on the promises of God - by Carma Pritchett

My name is Carma Pritchett. In 2005, I was diagnosed with invasive breast cancer. I took the chemo and radiation and had three surgeries, and I prayed to God I would be healed. In one day, three different ministers spoke of one scripture, Isaiah 54:17: “No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from Me, says the Lord.”

I stood on that promise of God. Many churches and prayer warriors prayed for me. Last year I was in the Enid News & Eagle as a three-year survivor. In April 2009, I was diagnosed with a stage 4 tumor that was metastatic from the breast cancer. It was on the spine, bone cancer. In September 2009, I was in remission again due to the new treatment of Cyberknife at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Oklahoma City. All I can say is I am a miracle of God! I thank God for all of the prayers, friends and family that stood beside me and my wonderful precious doctors, Dr. Reeves and staff (Cancer Care of Enid) and Dr. Medbery and staff (St. Anthony’s Hospital, Oklahoma City). I am now a four-year survivor.
