Shinn at 3 p.m.: Bedlam's back at Owen Field

NORMAN — Oklahoma will host Oklahoma State for the first time since 2009 on Saturday.

The game was in Stillwater the last two years because of a 2011 scheduling quirk caused by the Big 12 Conference dropping from 12 to 10 teams last year.

Only OU’s seniors, who will be playing their final home game on Saturday, have ever played a Bedlam game at Owen Field.

“I’m so used to playing them there I feel like it’s supposed to be played there all the time. I’m really excited to just be at home and have this experience,” OU junior wide receiver Kenny Stills said.

The Sooners who have six players still around who played in their 27-0 victory victory over the Cowboys on Nov. 28, 2009. They are: quarterback Landry Jones, kicker Patrick O’Hara, linebacker Joseph Ibiloye, punter Tress Way, linebacker/fullback Jaydan Bird and cornerback Demontre Hurst.

“I wouldn’t say it’s a huge difference, but it’s different for us to be home, have the crowd behind us and not hear those guys banging on the sides of their stadium when we’re out there in third-and-long when we’re having to make plays,” Still said.
