Police released a more detailed description of a man who robbed a Walgreens early Wednesday morning.

Enid Police Department is seeking assistance from the community in identifying the man involved in the robbery of Walgreens, 615 S. Van Buren.

The department received a call at 3:26 a.m. Wednesday, reporting a man entering the store and jumping the pharmacy counter demanding various drugs from the pharmacist.

“The man may have been armed,” Lt. Eric Holtzclaw said. “The suspect left with a large quantity of drugs and may have been on foot or a bicycle.”

The man is described as a light-skinned white male, about 6 feet 3 inches to 6 feet 5 inches tall, weighing between 170 to 190 pounds, with short to medium length brown hair and some brown scruffy facial hair along the chin. The man was wearing a brown wool cap with ear flaps extending down to his jaw line, dark colored wire-frame style sunglasses, brown leather jacket or coat, brown button-up shirt with a collar, black T-shirt, blue jeans and white athletic shoes.

Police said the suspect may be an active drug user and may suffer from a prior injury or illness.

Anyone having any information about the robbery is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 233-6233 or Enid Police Department at 242-7000. Callers to Crime Stoppers can earn up to a $1,000 reward and will not be required to testify or be identified.
