One man dead in oil rig accident

At least one man was killed and another injured in an oil rig accident near Ames this morning.

According to a dispatcher with Major County Sheriff's Office, the emergency call about the accident came in at 7 a.m.

He did not know the condition of the injured man, who was taken to an area hospital, he said.

A deputy still was at the scene at 10:30 a.m., he said.
