Hardin
Navy Seaman Recruit Nathan L. Hardin, son of Jennifer L. and Michael D. Hardin of Fairview, recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill.
During the eight-week program, Hardin completed a variety of training which included classroom study and practical instruction on naval customs, first aid, firefighting, water safety and survival, and shipboard and aircraft safety. An emphasis also was placed on physical fitness.
Hardin is a 2009 graduate of Fairview High School.
Fleckenstein
Navy Seaman Hunter F. Fleckenstein, of La Vernia, Texas, completed Navy basic military training at Recruit Training Command and graduated Oct. 2. He was awarded National Defense Service Medal and Navy Pistol Marksmanship Ribbon.
He is the grandson of Roberta and Bill Pritchett of Bison and Bill Harris of Enid.
