Reunions for 9/23/08

Chapman/Dunn

Thirty-two descendants and five guests attended the annual Chapman/Dunn re-union Sept. 13, hosted by Bob and Pam Worth of Nash at Nash Lions Club.

Door prizes were given throughout the day and awards were presented to Elmo Chapman, Enid, for being the oldest; Rylee Treanor, Wau-komis, for being the youngest; and Mickey Denson, Carlisle, Ark., for traveling the farthest. Game winners were: Jeff Worth, Nash; Natalie Treanor, Waukomis; and Billy Ross, Carlisle, Ark.

Potter School/Church

The annual Potter School/ Church reunion is Sunday.

Due to the destruction of the old church by a May tornoado, plans include hosting Sunday school and church services under a tent at the site and then traveling to Orlando Community Center for lunch and business meeting.

Sunday school will begin at 10 a.m. and church will adjourn at 11:45 to allow time to travel to Orlando. Plans are to have a tent in place for church services on the grounds. In the event of inclement weather, church services will be held at the Orlando Community Building.

A covered dish luncheon will be served at noon. Participants should bring a meat, salad or vegetable and dessert. Table service and drinks will be provided.

The church is being rebuilt and a portion of the afternoon program will be a video presentation depicting the new church when work is complete.

Robertson

Descendants of Cecil Sr., Emmett and Orval Robertson and Mabel Robertson Stewart met at Oakwood Christian Activity Center Sept. 14 for an annual reunion. Attending were 30 family members and one guest.

Dinner was served at 12:30 p.m. with prayer given by Robert Dale Gray, Kremlin. A meeting was presided over by Joy Johnson Robertson, Enid.

Recognition went to Steve and Estelle Ann Wallace Leonard, Carroll, Iowa, who traveled the farthest; Maddie Gray, 3, daughter of Robbie and Shauna Ryel Gray, Kremlin, for being the youngest; and Refa Robert-son Gray for being the matriarch of the family.

The next reunion is Sept. 13, 2009.
