Wilson, 102



Edna Wilson will celebrate her 102nd birthday Oct. 2 with family. Cards may be sent to Greenbrier Nursing Home, 1119 E. Garriott, Enid, OK 73701.

She was born Oct. 2, 1906, on her grandfather’s homestead north of Medford to Oliver and Emma Dupps Lynn.

She is a 1925 graduate of Medford High School and married Orville H. Wilson that same year. They made their home in Weatherford before moving to Pond Creek in 1929, where they worked in the funeral industry. She played the organ at United Methodist Church and taught art and oil painting at Sunshine Center, Pond Creek.

Her children are Maxine Peier, Wichita, Kan.; Keith Wilson, Magnolia, Texas; the late Gene Wilson; and the late Charles Wilson. She has eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren and four great-great-stepgrandchildren.



Childs, 86



Luella Thelma Childs will celebrate her 86th birthday with family. Cards may be sent to P.O. Box 315, Seiling, OK 73663.

She was born Sept. 22, 1922, in Okeene to John and Elvina Mondeck Weinmeister.

She is a 1939 graduate of Okeene High School and a 1965 graduate of Paggy’s Beauty Career College, Weatherford.

She married Emery E. Moore in 1941 and Gene Childs in 1982. She was a beauty operator for 17 years and a city clerk in Canton for nine years. She is a member of Music Lovers Club, Seiling, and a past member of the Zinnia Garden Club, Canton.

Her children are Ron and Janet Razook Moore, Stillwater; Anita K. Armstrong, Enid; and Terri and Rodger Boucher, Oakwood. She has six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.



Campbell, 100



Nina H. Campbell celebrated her 100th birthday with family on Sept. 11.

She was born Sept. 11, 1908, in Shattuck. She graduated from Shattuck High School and attended Oklahoma Women’s College and graduated in 1928 from the University of Oklahoma.

She married Lawrence Campbell Oct. 6, 1929. She worked as secretary for Western Distributing, taught school and retired in 1978 from the Department of Defense at Vance Air Force Base. She is a member of Phi Mu Sorority and Collie Club of America.

Her children are Donna Cutner, Murrietta, Calif., and the late Dell Greer. She has four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
